and now for my guest review...of course, i get a guest review because i have access to erics page, and he trusts me lots and lots...besides, i've earned this...or some bullshit...

well, we saw saving private ryan...the verdict? world war II was dumb...and eisenhower was even dumber. ok, picture this...you have a huge cliff...<searches for pics to prove his point>

ok, i'll draw you a picture, since the internet never has exactly what anyone wants.
ok, something weird happened...anyway, go here for the pic
or maybe not...anyway, lets imagine some cliffs around a hundred feet high, and heavily fortified. lets imagine they have tons of machine guns and ammo...lets imagine running out of the water, loaded down with fifty+ pounds of gear, straight towards the guns...good idea? i think NOT.

anyway, so the rest of the movie is a bunch of patriotism, even though they shoot thirty unarmed germans during the movie. oh, and lets not forget that stirring christian scene, where the nice army guy takes a little kid from a german family at their behest and hands her his cross, so she'll stop crying...and gets shot in the back by a sniper as soon as the girl is ripped out of his arms by the captain(still holding the cross in her hand). guess what he kissed thiry plus times in the movie, before going into battles...thats right, the cross...a cross looks like this...

supposedly, some guy was killed on one. anyway, the rest of the movie consists of flattering pro war slogans, and stupid ass lines, such as 'earn this', or "tell me i'm good...tell me i'm a good man". in fact, the entire movie was full of stupid lines(you got to be johnny on the spot with the ammunition?). and we weren't able to laugh, for fear of pissing off the other fifty people in the theatre who were so deeply moved by this movie.  so, the most enjoyable part was looking over and seeing eric with his hand over his mouth after a soldier got his arm blown off, or boo grinning like a cheshire cat and trying not to laugh when a man got shot in the head.

MOST NOTABLE SCENE:

In the beginning D-Day attack scene, there is a man who gets his arm blown off, and is standing there, looking around in confusion...then sees his arm, leans over, picks it up, and continues to charge the beach. very hilarious. watch this at home, so you can laugh when you want to.
