One, two, three, four, five, seven, thirty-twelve,
Thirteen warriors...
A very strange movie based on Eaters of the Dead, which apparently
was loosely based on Beowulf. As movies go, this was very violent,
and very entertaining... Was it "Good"? Well, no. But it was
entertaining.. Almost like a Troma film with a budget. And as everyone
should know, Troma makes the most entertaining movies ever, with a total
lack of budget. I'm supprised that the Evil Dead movies weren't Troma...
But, i'll actually give a summary... Antonio get's "kicked" out
of his homeland. Ignore the things you read about him messing with
the Sultan's wife. It was the wife of some guy who apparently was
a close friend of the sultan. So Antonio get's to be a Diplomat,
and run off to the North. So he runs into a group of Vikings, who
are sent back to the northlands to save a fellow "king's" land. And
the prophet they asked before they left called for 13 people, one not of
the northlands. So somehow Antonio got sent, not one of the guards
they brought with them..*Shrug*
Well, regardless, they get there, it's a shoddy Warrior's Hall, and
there are tales of beasts that eat the dead... So they set up to fight
them, blah blah, yadda yadda, they eventually win... At least the "cool"
thing happened. Notice how, many times in movies such as this, none
of the "Great Heroes" get killed? Well, I think at the end of the
movie, about four of the 13 guys were dead.. But still, entertaining...
